M-6 TimberFrame 2 Sapele Mahogany and American Holly.

The M6 was a collaborative effort with a TimberFrame company in Dandridge, TN. The challenge here was gear design for a long distance location with vastly different weather than Rochester, NY. Two days after delivery, every gear developed a crack! Ouch! Not ready for prime time. It was this incident that prompted 6 months of intense gear redesign and fabrication. The good news - I solved the problem. In fact, the redesigned gears are now a feature in every clock since M6.
