M14 Gallery

M-14 Harrison. Arbor Vitae root balls (gears) Big Leaf Figured Maple, American Holly, Katalux and Brass.

The M14 is my tribute to 18th Century British Clock maker, John Harrison of Longitude fame. Harrison's discovery made pendular clocks at sea possible with his novel 'Grasshopper' escape mechanism and uniquely synchronized, twin pendulum movement. See my instagram site for video of these pendulums in action.   Harrison's clocks are on display at the Greenwich Observatory in London.  This clock was given to my son and daughter-in-law as their wedding gift. During the 2025 Rochester Memorial Arts Gallery, Fine Arts Craft Show, it was the center of attraction and visitors often returned to this clock for another glimpse before heading home.
