M-5 Jewelers Ebony, Maple, Lacquered Poplar (black)

The owner of this clock had only one request, "Build anything you want!" OK! I had card blanche with this design. Having been to Paris, I had an affinity for the Mr Eifel's Tower. You might see that influence in M5. I also wanted a modern look so, out came the black lacquer paint that contrasted nicely with figured maple. The pendulum is wood I obtained from General Eisenhower's London HQ (it's a long story) and the bob is a beautiful crystal that sets the woods off nicely. M5 is the first of three clocks to be showcased in FineWoodWorking Magazine, a trade publication.
