M12 Gallery

M-12 Bregue. Walnut, Maple, Paduak, shaped glass (rocker) America Holly .

The M12 was a year long project designed in close coordination with its owner. The object was to create a masterpiece fashioned after the Eifel Tower and include features seen in French Breguet watches. Notable are the Swarovski crystals on the face and the blue painted hands typical of Breguet watches. What may not be obvious is the methods used for obtaining the 3D cut legs. I don't use CAD or CNC tools. That entire structure is completely hand carved. It took the better part of summer to accomplish that carving. When asked by another client if I could reproduced the M12 for him, I answered, "I can reproduce anything but, I don't want to!" We moved onto another design!
